To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Yoshida & Co. (Porter-Yoshida & Co.) opened its first-ever standalone pop-up event in New York City, the “PORTER 90th BIRTHDAY NYC POP-UP STORE” at 21 Spring Street.

For this special occasion, UnD created a limited melon bread in special packaging featuring both the PORTER mascot and UnD’s character “Ms. Fruffy.” Presented in a space that embodies Japanese craftsmanship, the collaboration offered visitors a unique and memorable experience.

The event showcased the flagship PORTER and POTR collections, the iconic “TANKER” series in black ahead of its global release this fall, special 90th anniversary items, and the latest creations. In addition, PORTER highlighted its commitment to sustainability with new plant-based nylon bags that are 100% biodegradable.

Expanding its creative reach, the pop-up also featured a capsule collection with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen, as well as a collaboration tote with sakamotocommon, an organization honoring the legacy of the late composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Together, these projects reflected the fusion of world-class Japanese craftsmanship and forward-looking innovation.

The event drew large crowds each day, leaving a strong impression of PORTER’s 90-year journey and its vision as it moves toward its centennial.
