UND Participated in Audio-Technica’s Special Event “HOTARU”

At Studio 525 in Chelsea, New York, Audio-Technica (@audiotechnicausa) and Technica House NYC (@technicahousenyc) presented the sound installation HOTARU. For this occasion, UND (@und_ny) joined as a catering partner, offering a menu centered around premium Uji matcha.

Held exclusively on August 22 and 23, 2025, the event invited guests to experience the beauty of sound and silence in a rare, immersive installation. The atmosphere of a Japanese tea room was reinterpreted in a contemporary form, where the sound of gravel underfoot, dripping water, and delicate bells were recorded live and pressed directly onto vinyl—a singular experience that engaged all the senses.

Uji Matcha Creations by UND

For this event, UND created a menu that showcased the depth of world-renowned Uji matcha:

• Matcha Shot

• Matcha Tonic

• Matcha Terrine

The Matcha Shot and Matcha Terrine were served with special vessels and exclusive food paper created for the occasion, each adorned with the Audio-Technica and UND logos.
